Pretty good coffee.... Spacious nice atmosphere with positive good vibes.... But what's the deal with the Spanish music?? A few songs ok but no English music seemed a bit much.
After lunch in the area, we took a walk downtown Orinda. We came across a Peet's and I decided to stop in for a drip coffee. This was a good-sized location and only two tables were occupied with patrons. I placed my order for a dark drip and the cashier said it would be a two minute wait as it was brewing. I told her I was fine with that. In about two minutes, she called me over to hand me my coffee. Service was friendly. I got by cup of dark coffee and we continued our walk of Downtown. Happy to have seen Peet's and get my cup of dark bold coffee.
This is definitely one of the peets locations. They had plenty of medium roast ready to serve. Service was fast and friendly. Restaurant was clean, and there were no vagrants camping out in the restaurant. Not sure I'm a fan of putting out the various milks at the self-serve station. If COVID-19 taught us anything, it is that we should minimize the number of times we have to touch something in public. I am by no means a germaphobe, but there are plenty of opportunities to spread germs or taint condiment left out in the open.
I stopped by there for a biz meeting close to the closing time on Thursday,9/14/2023..I had a crazy headache & mentioned this to the young gentleman who was the cashier on that day..he might be Hispanic...He listened to me & offered a few suggestions & then made me a passion fruit drink w/ oat milk.. Kindness matters..my headache didn't fully go away but the drink was very soothing. Thank you! Hope the store manager notices & give the gentleman a raise or bonus....Thank you again!
Exactly what I needed to drive in traffic while visiting family. I ordered a hot chai tea late with oat milk and it was perfect. The caramel frap my partner got was amazing and my mom got a hot white chocolate late and loved it. Place has ample parking, clean restroom and friendly staff. I didn't have the app, but I downloaded it on the spot and scanned before paying. I was surprise to see I got 120 points for my first order. I highly recommend everyone to do this and get rewards accumulated. It's always nice when you get something free or discounted just for having the app downloaded.
